Post Box
Congratulations on your new post-box on Harvest Road. Currently this is not in use. Royal Mail are aware that it isn’t currently open and are working to resolve this.
Residents Meeting
We had the first meeting that took place on Wednesday 7th August. If you are interested in joining or would like to know more, please contact me. A Residents Association (RA) is a group of residents who come together to represent the shared interests of those who live in a local area or community.
During the meeting it was decided that it would be worth designing a flyer to distribute to all the houses on Wellington Place. This is to ensure that everyone on the development is aware that a Resident Group is going to be created and to give everyone a fair chance to be involved. The RCC will design and print the flyers.
The next meeting will take place on 11th September. Click here for more information and to book to attend - https://forms.office.com/e/7yrYdQ3rQJ
Play Area
A few residents have mentioned that they are unhappy with the park. The Management Company came back to me with the below response
“The park area is complete. There will not be any fencing going up as there is perimeter fencing all around the footpath. No benches were on the designs.”
Broken / damaged fencing
There are a couple of areas where the fencing wire had been damaged. The location is about two thirds of the way along the fencing line from the Peter Callis Way end. This has been mentioned to the Management Company and they have come back with the below response
“Just to confirm the broken and damaged fencing has been/is being addressed”.
Wellington Place Primary School
You are all invited to Wellington Place Primary School Open Day on Friday 4th October. This will be a great opportunity to see the local school and to meet your neighbours.
We will also be there with our Coffee Van giving away FREE hot drinks and engaging with the local community. It would be great to hear your views on how a stronger community could be built at Wellington Place.
Litter Picking
If anyone would be interested in forming a litter picking group or just joining in some litter picking sessions, please contact me. There are a few keen residents who regular do litter picks in the area, any more volunteers would be welcome. It could help bring the community together with those who are like minded and potentially have your own litter picking group at Wellington Place.
Dog Waste Bins
The Management Company have increased the frequency of collections for the dog waste bins due to a number of comments that they were overflowing and will be doing this as a trial. Please see attached a map of the locations of the dog bins numbered. If the problem persists, please email me clearly stating which bin is full by identifying the number and I will report this to the Management Company.
